Ride-Along Program

The VCU Police Department offers a citizen ride-along program where a student, staff member, faculty member or member of the community can ride along with an officer during a shift. This allows members of the VCU community to view, firsthand, the daily activities of a VCU police officer and the issues facing today’s law enforcement. Fill out this interest form and email Lt. Joel Abernathy if you would like to learn more about this program.
