The VCU Police Department understands how nerve-wracking it can be for parents to send their children off to an urban campus to pursue higher education. We want to assure you that we are here to help, protect and serve our students and the rest of the VCU community.

With 90 sworn officers, more than 200 security personnel and an accredited training academy, VCU is home to one of the largest university police departments in the country. VCU Police monitors both VCU campuses, as well as portions of the surrounding neighborhoods.
