Hazard Mitigation Grant

As part of emergency preparedness, VCU is actively updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP), a plan that identifies vulnerabilities to various hazards to VCU and sets long-term strategies to reduce or eliminate risk to life and property. VCU continues to seek feedback from community members, including areas of concern, to help reduce the impact of potential disasters.

The VCU community is invited to attend a third and final public comment session via a recorded Zoom session on November 10, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. Students, faculty and staff can register for this session by accessing this link: https://forms.gle/8adUio5ALcXG7nMx7. A member of VCU’s Emergency Management team will give attendees an overview of the ongoing process prior to the public comment period.

Community members can submit written feedback to VCU’s Emergency Management team by emailing policedept@vcu.edu and using the subject line, “VCU Hazard Mitigation Feedback.”
